VITROX expects its automated optical inspection (AOI) system for flexible printed circuit boards to drive growth of its revenue in three years.

ViTrox is set to launch its newly improved and enhanced AOI by next month, the company's chairman, Dato Kelvin Kiew said.

“Aggressive marketing is already in the works to penetrate China, Taiwan and Hong Kong markets. We are also appointing marketing channels for these markets,?he said.

“The group is finalizing plans to ship two AOIs to two Taiwanese PCB fabricators based in China by the third quarter of the year,?he said after the company's AGM in Penang on Friday.

Dato Kelvin Kiew said the company recorded a 73% revenue growth last year from RM13.85mil in 2005, adding that the first half looks very promising and they are expecting that growth will even be better this year. ViTrox posted a record net profit of RM9.49mil last year, an increase of 68% from RM5.65mil during the previous year.
